The world is not aware of the power of God . . . but then, neither is the church, for the most part. Even the faithful struggle with the miraculous and the grace of God through Christ.
Today’s video is a great testimony to the grace and the love of God to extend Himself beyond what He is obligated to do. Today’s post content is short to give the testimony of the video the benefit to speak to the reader who may be exploring the goodness of God.
Today may be the time to agree with God’s goodness and accept His grace through Christ. And, thank you for giving these eternal blessings a place in your day!
The Day and Night Post Staff . . .
If you’re a serious student of the Scripture, it isn’t too long before you reason the word of God is too good to be true! From an earthly perspective it’s just simply too good to be true! I could say it like this: the word of God, the promises of God, the knowledge of God, the abilities of God, the power of God is simply way beyond what we could possibly know or understand to be true. Or, given what mankind knows and understands to be true, the attributes, the character and the ways of God go way beyond . . . immeasurable! The human experience always considers their own frame of reference, experience, knowledge and then tries to define God’s truth into those limits.
So it’s easy, when confronting the word of God, to conclude that much of it is too good to be true. But, what if it isn’t? Jesus regularly emphasized, if you simply believe, anything is possible with God! That goes way beyond our natural frame of reference.
In this Part 3 of our title, Arise and Shine, Dr. Pickney will take the word of God at face value and lead the hearer into the arena of too good to be true. You’ll begin to see and understand that the coming Day of Jehovah Tsaba is way beyond any good that you have ever known to be true. Through this teaching we pray the LORD will begin to enlarge your heart to know, by the spirit, the too good to be true is true. And therefore producing a faith in you that enlarges and compounds to the blessing and The Day of The LORD of host; the Day of Jehovah Tsaba.
The greatest event since God created Adam upon the earth!
“32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?” – Deuteronomy 4.
“5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remains among you: fear ye not. 6 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; 7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts . . . 9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.” – Haggai 2.
What is this great event? When will it occur? How do we know it has not already occurred? What are the signs? What leads up to this great event? How can we prove it has not yet occurred but is building now to occur?
The New Testament church – the New Testament world – has not seen the power of God displayed on earth as referenced so dramatically in the Old Testament: the flood, a burning bush, a pillar of fire, the earth opening up to swallow Korah and 250 men as a sign, delivering the Children of Israel out of Egypt, etc., etc. The New Testament era has been commonly referred to as “The Age of Grace.”
But the Scriptures promise that at the end of the age, Jehovah will once again show His great display of power over men, nations, systems, wealth and dominion. Specific prophecies detailed in a pattern of revelation reserved for the end times. The Bible describes such a time – a season – as a fixed time, a fixed occasion, a specific event known as The Day of the LORD of hosts; transliterated, The Day of Jehovah Tsaba. In great detail – yet woven in prophetic mystery in God’s word, just now unfolding – the Bible provides clear mandates of that day being the greatest event to occur on earth since God created Adam. Greater than the flood, greater than fire from heaven, greater than delivering Israel out of Egypt and greater than the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Such a claim is bewildering the world . . . even the church.
Today we continue with Dr. Don G. Pickney as he details through the word of God that global events occurring in the earth today are leading and building to The Day of Jehovah Tsaba.
Our hyper-connected society has made life’s traditional experience the defining factor in the perception of the larger global or eternal events. So it has always been; and so it is today: “as in the days of Noah.”
The Old Testament, time and again, finds the chosen clinging to the pride of their traditions and ignoring – at their peril – the spirit of God . . . the word of God: rejecting – even killing the prophets. And the religious leaders of the day would not believe the person Jesus Christ.
Of the many reasons for man’s rejection of God’s word is the overwhelming inconceivable incomprehensible indescribable person of the Almighty God and His revelation. So when the word of the Lord comes – outside of the box [to put it in modern text] – man will reject it, fear it, oppose it and contradict it.
As I was in prayer and meditation a couple of years back, I heard the voice of the Lord tell me, “The greatest contradiction to my word is in the church.” Historically speaking, we could say, “The greatest contradiction to His word is in the chosen family:” Old and New Testament. “So [then] faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God . . . But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.” Gainsay definition; to deny, dispute, or contradict. Disobedience and gainsaying is not limited to Israel! It certainly applies to the world; but it also applies to the church.
So, why am I emphasizing this? Why am I introducing the traditional flaws of man? Because something is happening in the earth today; and the revelation of it is overwhelming, inconceivable, incomprehensible and indescribable. It’s time to “hear, and hear” the word of God.
Today [currently] as I write this post, the economic collapse of the entire global financial system is a stark and looming threat . . . a teetering reality! Darkness is growing upon the earth in shaking proportions. The global masses are gripped with fear. Uncertainty is unprecedented on a worldwide scale. Human life has no value but to serve the special interests of the ultra elite. Civil liberties and morality has declined to such degree the righteous are deceived.
Over the next few days, we’re going to feature our resident pastor and Day and Night Post News contributor, Pastor Dr. Don G. Pickney, M.Div.; Th.D. in a 3-4 Part special teaching beyond what we feature on Home Church Sunday. You might say this would be our Day and Night Post equivalent of Meet The Press, Fox News Sunday, CBS Sunday Morning, ABC’s This Week, or Face The Nation.
You are going to hear in a fashion the news directly from Scripture and imparted in similitude to Scripture reference and prophecy. Dr. Pickney does not predate or prejudge or predetermine times, places or faces; but is anointed to open the Scriptures with incomparable clarity as he gives voice to, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon [ His family ] thee,” Isaiah 60.
At the end of this mini-series, you will either be well informed – understanding; or be gainsaying? You may be inclined to deny, dispute, or contradict. But, you will never be the same . . .

Movieguide.com – “The Bible is once again coming to the small screen on the History Channel starting March 3. THE BIBLE miniseries was developed by Producer Mark Burnett (SURVIVOR, THE APPRENTICE, SHARK TANK) and his wife Roma Downey, who’s most known for her role in the popular TV series TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL.
The first episode of the TV series THE BIBLE begins with Noah as he and his family huddle together in the ark amidst the crashing of the waves. Noah comforts his family by recounting the creation of the universe from Genesis One.
The clear theme of episode one is God’s covenant promise to His people. From Noah, the narrator transitions to Abraham, whose descendants, God promised, would be more numerous than the stars. Much of the episode focuses on the faith of Abram and Sarai (who are renamed Abraham and Sarah), which is always being tested. God sees the strong faith of Abraham and blesses him for it. His descendants multiply just as God promised.
THE BIBLE then takes the audience to the time of Moses. We see how Moses learned his true identity as a child of God and how he brought God’s people out of slavery from Pharaoh. He proclaims to the Israelites that God is with them and His covenant to His people still stands. This two-hour-long, first segment of THE BIBLE ends with Moses handing down the reins to Joshua and grabs the viewer with a cliff-hanger ending.
The beauty of the TV miniseries THE BIBLE is how it weaves the Biblical accounts together while keeping the historical and emotional integrity of Scripture. Mark Burnett and Roma Downey do a masterful job adapting such a large and incredibly significant portion of Scripture. Some details of certain historical accounts are left out due to time constraints, so by no means can this TV series or any other replace the inspired Word of God, but the first episode of THE BIBLE succeeds in making history more alive.
Parents do need to exercise caution on whether THE BIBLE is appropriate for their children. There are some heavier action sequences and implied sexuality that wouldn’t be suitable for younger viewers. Otherwise, however, the first episode to THE BIBLE is tremendously exciting, inspiring, and uplifting. Best of all, it reminds us that God is always with us.”
