Archive for Shaking: Global
The world – at least that influenced by the United States – is now focused on the case of Edward Snowden: is he guilty of espionage and/or treason? Or is he a saint with the assignment of patriotism to expose the sins of government? Is he contemptible or just another link in the long chain of the shaking global and national crisis?
Amidst the promise of change . . . even a divinity of government and trust, it seems the only mainstream news is that of corruption and threats? The real threats facing the United States and the world is the global currency collapse, the threats of war and the violations of peace. There seems to be a dedicated governance of global special interests both sponsored and supported by the super powers and influence peddlers.
“In ancient Egypt Pharaoh was considered divine! The Pharaoh was central to Egyptian life. He encompassed both the secular and sacred which to Egyptians were one and the same. He settled legal disputes and led the religious rituals that sustained Egypt. The Pharaoh was not only a god-king but was responsible for holding the balance of maat, that was the rule of order over the chaos that was waiting to envelope the world. Maat was the personification of the fundamental order of the universe, without which all of creation would perish. The primary duty of the pharaoh was to uphold this order by maintaining the law and administering justice. To reflect this, many pharaohs took the title “Beloved of Maat,” emphasizing their focus on justice and truth.
As long as king and commoner alike honoured the gods and obeyed the laws set down by them the balance was maintained and all would be well. Should the Pharaoh fail all the world would suffer and descend into the unthinkable state of anarchy.
We should not compare Ancient Egypt with current concepts of culture, law, morality or ethics. Holding a rich civilisation together with its growing population and rising economic prospects and holding off external forces that would love to conquer it was not any easy task. If we keep these factors in mind we will see why civilisations generally and Egypt in particular developed in the way they did.” Read more: “Egypt: Was Pharoah Divine?”
I beg to differ with the last paragraph by Ken Humphries! Ancient Egypt was exactly like the current concepts of culture, law, morality and ethics. It was a culture of human pride and self-righteousness enslaving the masses; often through deception, power, force and arrogance.
So, what does all of this have to do with Edward Snowden? Well, nothing in particular but in general in that he is simply the latest profile in the general theme of elements shaking the establishment of the established culture, law, morality and ethics. Ancient Egypt and Pharoah were prideful that they could not be shaken. Even as Pharoah’s heart was hardened to the contrary, he was and Egypt was shaken.
In the Book of Hebrews, summarizing what is also written in Isaiah Chapter 23, testifies, “Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.”
Is the correlation is too obvious to be coincidental? The United States is being shaken: its financial systems, government systems, institutions, culture, law, morality and ethics. And every Edward Snowden, whistleblower, WikiLeaks pirate and sunshine patriot is adding to the shaking. But not only the United States!
. . . “For thus said the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, said the LORD of hosts.” – Haggai 2:6,7.
What’s happening in the world today? Our biblical research finds the world shaking. Tell us what you think.
Will world slavery ever end? Slavery, through much of world history, has demonstrated the rewards of evil. Accordingly it has been justified by the great benefits of wealth to the world systems in the name of progress.
Slavery can be the result of war or capitalism. And throughout history, slavery from war seems justified; while slavery by capitalism seems hidden.
Joseph was openly sold into slavery by his brothers leading – or luring – the entire nation of Israel into Egypt by the pretense of wealth and abundance; eventually holding – or forcing – them into captivity, building that great ancient empire.
The Southern Kingdom of Judah fell to the Babylonians in 586 BC. The King Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Temple of Jerusalem and took the Israelites into exile; plundered the treasures of Solomon’s Temple and built the great Babylonian empire on the backs of slavery. This was viewed by the prophet Jeremiah as God’s chastisement. Babylon became a biblical symbol of corrupt power and wealth.
“In the modern world, for over 300 years, the most powerful nations on earth grew richer and stronger on the profits of the slave trade. Over 12 million men, women and children were forcibly transported on slave ships to the colonies and plantations in North and South America.
Today slavery is illegal in every country on the planet. But the truth is slavery did not die in the 19th Century. It is alive, it is thriving and it is bigger than ever.” – AlJazeeraEnglish
At the very top, while the nations of the world are held captive by modern global (Babylonian) banking system today, at the bottom physical slavery – today’s video – is thriving in the prisons of the largest capitalist country on earth.
And while all of the historical global details of slavery are too numerous to mention in this article, our brief summary of biblical, ancient and modern portrayal documents the evil of that which began at the dawn of history continues today with its objective of global dominance: a new world order; both financial and physical.
Most live today in a world of greatly increasing trials, while others are witnessing the manifestation of great faith!
Today’s video was found on the public domain by random search. It portrays a growing sentiment of great uncertainty by the masses.
While the video highlights represent some public perception of the past 2012, the YouTube notes suggest these dynamics are a Clear and Present Danger to capture a recent Hollywood major picture title.
One has to ask if these and similar suspicions are merited; as the growing numbers of the main stream suggest. Others, it seems, clearly discount this type of broadcast as mere speculation by doomsday profiteers?
So, we turn to the Scriptures to research like events and events foretold. And while there is plenty of specific references to this type of scenario and worse, the slackness of the Lord’s return has most discounting the potential for their generation. Except . . .
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9.
While many live in a world of greatly increasing trials and fears; a growing remnant are the manifestation of great faith, believing what devoted Christians refer to as the Lord’s promise to them in Psalm 91, “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee,” verse 7.
Are we living in the days of great darkness and great light; great trials for the world and great victories for the Believer? We report, you decide!
And as always, your comment is appreciated!
News forecast: more wars and terrors to come! Also on American soil.
This past week the US main stream media has been obsessed with the topic of violence and terror; especially in the light of the Boston Marathon bombing, with highlights of the Denver Pot Party shooting and other reflections. And, I concur. The events of the week have been a living hell on American soil.
But on a recent broadcast of the O’Reilly Factor, Mr. Bill O’Reilly took aim and shot directly at White House Press Room reporter, Amina Ismail, for asking White House Press Secretary Jay Carney if U.S. bombings that kill innocent civilians in Afghanistan constitute an “act of terror” given the labeling of the Boston Marathon bombing as “terrorism”. She specifically refers to a U.S. airstrike earlier this month that killed 11 children, just the latest in a seemingly endless line or Afghan civilian deaths at the hands of the U.S. government. Carney completely dodged the questions, pointing instead to the 9/11 terrorist attacks to justify U.S. bombings in Afghanistan. After a long-winded answer excusing U.S. conduct, Carney concludes, “ we take great care in the prosecution of this war.”
In the same segment, Mr. O’Reilly came “unglued” at veteran NBC News anchor, Tom Brokaw, for making candid remarks about U.S. drone strikes, Mr. O’Reilly citing there is “no comparison” between acts of war and terrorism on American soil. And exasperated both Amina Ismail and Mr. Brokaw were completely out of line; with a taunting invitation to Mr. Brokaw to “come on the program.”
With all due respect Mr. O’Reilly, I handily disagree. War is ALWAYS provoked; throughout the history of mankind, I can’t think of once incident of war – biblical, ancient or modern times – which has not been provoked: mostly by greed, power, jealousy, revenge or . . . oppression. Except in the case of oppression by world powers the oppressed have little hope: dysfunction over a long period of time becomes normal. Therefore any revenge or uprising is considered unjustified, a provocation of war?
Remember, it took God Himself to avenge the oppressed in ancient Egypt because the super power of the day had no match. I am convinced any remarks of chariot strikes by the Goshen News Reporters would have been considered “out of line” with a main stream Pharaoh Factor!
Now, “let me be perfectly clear,” as former President Richard Nixon would say, I’m a faithful listener to the O’Reilly Factor. I’m not a liberal or a registered Democrat; neither am I a right-wing radical or registered Republican, but I am a registered Independent as Mr. O’Reilly also makes known to be. Accordingly, I’m not taking personal issue with Mr. O’Reilly except that his incident view of this subject seems justified. And I say, it is the arrogance of governance that proves my “fair and balanced” rebuttal.
One does not need to be conspiracy nut or “out of touch” to understand the mishandling of American foreign policy; or the foreign policy of any nation under the influence of evil. And that, Mr. O’Reilly, is the extent to which wars and terrors will not only continue, but further to get worse, subject to the accurate reporting of God’s News of Global Change in the prophetic scriptures of God’s word.
Yesterday and today the world is reporting the trauma of terror at the finish line in the Boston Marathon.
Once again, terror strikes on the American soil. Once again, evil raises its head. And once again, the focus on who, what, when; and news reports highlight escalation of a dramatic, confused and world in panic brought a little closer to home for the American people.
Although decidedly appropriate, the words of the President, national investigation bureau chiefs, state and local officials or national news commentaries do not bring back the lives which are lost: the innocent bystanders, the surviving victims and the families suffering loss of limb or life!
Millions of Americans and global citizens are asking why; and who purposes to kill, destroy lives and wreak havoc on a peaceable gathering on a beautiful spring day in Boston; or for that matter, anywhere in the world; any street side cafe, metro rail, train station, sporting event, public gathering or border crossing? It is the face of evil!
Already the suspicions of rebuke and theories of conspiracy are gathering momentum. And, the general public may never know. But what we do know is the continual mounting events of threat and incident and aftermath are growing globally. What is seen afar off on American televisions are now seen at home.
Whether the event of April 15, 2013 in Boston, MA, is the result of protest, unemployment, partisan rebuke, hatred towards America, or the plot of disorder motivated: internal or external enemies, the escalation of terrors are signs of the times.
Our purpose is not to sensationalize terror or suspicion prophetic fulfillment at the expense of tragedy; but to cry upon the Lord of hosts that the bridle reins of terror be shortened; the intervention of the Day of the Lord of hosts be quick; and pray the Most High is the only one righteous and qualified to bring a righteous judgment upon the evils of our world.
Following escalated events and the sinfulness of man upon the earth, we invite our readers to prepare for the Coming Day of Glory. While terror reigns in the hearts of evil wicked men, the Lord of hosts has a different hope: a promise for His family. What is that hope? What is that promise?
