Paranormal in the Church

Paranormal: “Beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation; such paranormal phenomena as telepathy; a medium’s paranormal powers.”

Since we follow biblical precepts to report God’s news  of global change, we watch for and track local, national and global news developments which offer the tainting of manifestations.  Accordingly, we try to censor quick judgments or endorsements of the paranormal.

Throughout biblical history, prophecy of God’s word has been and will continue to be fulfilled.  Likewise, throughout history man has mixed a paranormal interpretation of prophetic events; or proclaimed events according to private interpretation!

So on and so forth, we recognize biblical prophetic references and hold a common consideration with many of today’s church scholars and leaders that Christ’s return is very, very near!

We see the fulfillment of national and global shaking: economics, wars, terrors, rejection of that which is good and the embrace of that which is evil. We see the corruption of mankind and the justification from the higher levels of society and governments.  We witness the catastrophic results of greed, power and influence.

But we also see – which seems to still be hidden from normal recognition – the Arise and Shine of God’s family. We see prophetic fulfillment of God’s word: “In the last days, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh.”  All indications of an bumper crop seems ripe for an end-time harvest according the to plans of the Lord of hosts. But, the Lord is orchestrating the events.

The Lord is stretching forth His arm.  The spirit of the Lord is moving upon the earth; and His angels, For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye. For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me. 10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter [church] of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the Lord. 11 And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto thee.” – Zechariah 2.  Those with spiritual eyes can see.

But there’s another battle raging in the church.  It is a battle of distraction. Both the church and the world know “something is going on” there’s a battle of distraction in the church.

While many in the church are more increasingly aware of the spiritual phenomenons, many are focused on the paranormal.  Our staff gets a lot of emails and info references about the Illuminati, the NWO, demons, evil incarnate, extraterrestrials, UFOs and  conspiracies, urging us to report the bizarre, the occult or the paranormal.

Although the Scripture references the spiritual wickedness, we choose not to focus on it, study it, embrace it, report it as if some occult script for the next Hollywood blockbuster.  We encourage rather, 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 19 And for [us], that utterance may be given unto [us], that [we] may open [our] mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 For which [we] are ambassadors in bonds: that therein [we] may speak boldly, as [we] ought to speak. 21 But that ye also may know [our] affairs, and how [we] do … faithfully minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things: 22 Whom is sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that [we] might comfort your hearts.

23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.” – Ephesians 6.
