The Great Subsidy Flood

By

When one thinks of subsidy payments, they usually think in terms of government subsidies to special interests:  agriculture, education, business grants, home subsidies, health and research, and food assistance [food stamp] programs, etc.

All in all the LIST OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FUNDING PROGRAMS currently total 1607 in number at a budget of $1,974,042,215,000; that’s nearly $2 Trillion dollars. But, that simply ignores the greatest subsidy program in existence: the American public subsidizing the government!

In other words, the American public subsidizes the government for whatever the government wants to subsidize; usually suggested . . . the American public.  I never been able to figure out, why don’t the American public just keep their money without paying the government to give it back to them?   But nevertheless, the American public is subsidized either directly through increased taxes or indirectly through added borrowing from which the American public has no choice.

The American democratic system has digressed to a takeover process in which the government spends at will to entreat themselves by luring special interests and henceforth blames the American public captives, threatening sequester cutbacks unless the public enthusiastically supports further economic captivity!  Is that pouring gasoline on the fire? I’m just trying to figure this out!

America has reached a point where those who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living . . . and receive the promised subsidies. But, the same exists on a global scale.

Unprecedented in world history, how could such a economic pandemic occur collectively on such a broad global scale?  The Bible calls it a shaking of all nations; foretold to precede the end of the age: a total global financial collapse, a rise of the church in glory, a Day of the LORD of hosts, the rapture of the church, a world left in chaos, a rise of the Antichrist, and the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.

I’ve often wondered too, why the Scripture says, as in the days of Noah so it shall be in the end?  Aside from the cultural similarities, could it be that few – very few – believed the word from God then as well?

Today’s video is but a symptom of the progression of economic malaise in which the masses are becoming increasingly dependent for survival, er subsidies.
